Lanta Yai is accessible by car, by way of car ferries crossing over from mainland at Baan Hua Hin pier to Lanta Noi and Lanta Yai islands.

Many options are available for self-arranged transport, from car rental to public van transport.

Car rental offices are found at Krabi and Phuket airports, however, it is not possible to return the rented car on Lanta island

Public van transfers are in Krabi town and run at a regular intervals throughout the day. Drop off points are in Saladan town which is a 15mins drive by taxi.

Passenger ferries connecting from Krabi - Klong Jilard pier, Phuket and Phi Phi arrive at regular intervals, docking at Saladan public pier.
Public transfers are limited during May to October because of the weather.

Krabi - Lanta island :
twice daily : morning 8am; afternoon 1pm

Phi Phi - Lanta island :
twice daily : morning 10am; afternoon 2pm

Phuket - Lanta island : (via Phi Phi : boat connection)
twice daily : morning 8am; afternoon 11am

In the interest of environmental preservation, none of the guest rooms are built right on the beachfront: they are inconspicously hidden away amon the natural tree line.

The beachfront area serves as common ground for massage, lounging by the swimming pool and beachfront and our restaurant and bars.

Rooms at Costa Lanta are arranged, not in straight rows but scattered at angles in corporation with the surroundings. The different sections of the property is seperated by the natural water system of the island, with wooden walkway linking them together.

None of our rooms are right on the beachfront, guest rooms are moulded into the surrounding nature. The beachfront area is common ground for all guests to enjoy the swimming pool, massages and the restaurant
